Purpose of the Job: 

Responsible for component repair operations for Commercial Engines business

 

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of component repair operations for Commercial Engines business
  • Product portfolio comprises of commercial and military aircraft engine parts repair e.g. CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B, LEAP-1A, LEAP-1B etc. 
  • Drive operational excellence and be accountable for engine on-time delivery and contractual TAT, cost control, productivity hit-ratio metrics as well as quality and safety compliance 
  • Plan and control repair production as well as allocate manpower and resources to meet monthly engine delivery commitments 
  • Manage component repair revenue hours to meet productivity hit ratio and profit targets 
  • Ensure compliance of quality standards and regulations laid down by airworthiness authorities and engine OEMs
  • Promote a safety culture within the production team and coordinate all environment health and safety issues for the business unit to ensure a safe workplace
  • Lead in customer focus teams to liaise with customers and coordinate with various functions such as Sales, Customer Support, Materials and Engineering to ensure customer satisfaction in all engine maintenance programs 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to production team of Workshop Engineers, Service Engineers and Technicians
  • Develop production team towards self-driven and versatile workforce through cross-functional training and skills development
  • Lead Continuous Improvement/ Kaizen /Digitalization /Automation initiatives to reduce cost and drive productivity

 

Reporting Relationships: 

Reports to Director, Commercial Engines & Component Repair

 

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering Degree with at least 3 years relevant experience as Production Manager or Workshop Manager in Aviation Industry
  • Knowledge and experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and MRO of gas turbine engines will be a plus
  • Knowledge of aviation authority regulations (CAAS, FAA, EASA, CAAC)
  • Proven leadership track record with strong ability to drive and deliver results
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with all operational levels of organization
