The candidate is expected to ensure successful delivery of the initiatives and projects to the ST Engineering business entities in a particular business area or region and support the business IT requirements. The IT Business Partner cum Project Manager is responsible for the technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management for the business entities assigned. He/she would typically be knowledgeable about processes and practices in the business domain to which the IT system is to be deployed.

 

As Business Partner, the candidate is required to coordinate the work of other IT professionals, business users and administrative staff to achieve the required business outcomes. The core elements of the job are about organizing people, time and resources, and seeing the project and business IT requirements through from inception to completion and on-going IT operations. The candidate will have ultimate responsibility for meeting the business's needs. As Project Manager, the candidate plans, monitors and executes IT projects to ensure that they are successfully implemented in accordance to stated project goals and objectives. The candidate is required to organise and integrate cross functional teams for the successful delivery of the assigned projects.

 

In performing the role, the candidate is expected to do the following:

 

  • Understand the business IT requirements and translate the requirements into vaiable technical solutions in partnership with other IT and Cybersecurity technical specialists
  • Develop project plans, goals, schedules and budgets; identify resources needed
  • Secure agreement and approval from the business entities for the projects
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion and successful deployment including post-delivery support of the system, local and overseas
  • Establish deep engagement with business stakeholders to identify continuous improvement and value-added opportunities

 

 

 The ideal candidate should possess:

 

  • Professional qualification in Project Management
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a lead role implementing a major IT-related system transformation. At least 3 years should be in a portfolio project management and cross-functional team leadership role
  • Strong business stakeholders communication skills and experience working with local and global partners in change management and goals realisation
  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing digital transformation projects with demonstrable return on investment
  • Technically strong in solutioning with digital tech stacks like AI, data analytics, RPA, and other advance digital tools to gain speed, accuracy and cost advantages for the business
  • Experience in provisioning IT infrastructure, hybrid cloud and global connectivity solutions
  • Strong cybersecurity posture
  • Familiar with ERP system upgrades, data migration and integration with bespoke systems and master data harmonisation
