Military Engine Propulsion
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Engine Workscoping
Prescribe workscope for engine overhaul or rectification
Liaise with customers on engine condition and technical issues
Integrate customer requirements into internal work processes
Liaise with OEM for technical support and latest technical updates
Generate Engine Condition Reports
- New Capability Setup
To do First Article on new processes and equipment
To perform risk assessment on aviation safety for new processes and equipment
To design and commission new toolings or fixtures
To evaluate equivalency for tooling and consumable
- Documentation
Review publications from airworthiness authorities and OEM, and integrate into internal work processes
Ensure currency of internal work instructions issued to shopfloor
- Operations Support
Provide technical support to shopfloor on processes related to engine assembly, inspection and testing
Troubleshoot engine defects during engine testing
Design and commission toolings or fixtures for process improvement
Review and streamline work processes for process improvement
- Engineering Studies
Compile and analyze engine build data to provide recommendations to improve engine reliability, improve engine performance and reduce internal cost of engine overhaul
Compile and analyze engine testing data to provide recommendations to improve engine First Pass Yield and minimize engine troubleshooting in test cell
Perform test cell trending analysis to detect any drift in test cell parameters
- Investigation
Perform investigation on engine incidents or defects, identify root cause(s) and provide recommendations
Generate Investigation Repor
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
- Strong fundamentals in engineering drawings
- Understanding of engine propulsion will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Good team player
