Title:  Senior Technician, Sheetmetal

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Inspect aircraft structures and sheet metal components for cracks, corrosion, dents, warping, and other structural defects.
• Perform structural modifications, repairs, and replacements on military aircraft in accordance with OEM Technical Manuals, Engineering Drawings, and approved repair schemes.
• Fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal parts including skins, frames, ribs, doublers, and brackets using appropriate tools and techniques such as riveting, drilling, bending, and forming.
• Ensure all work is completed within the allocated time frame and meets the quality standards of the company, customers, and regulatory authorities (e.g., FAA).
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities performed on aircraft structures.
• Lead and promote a safe and compliant working environment by adhering to technical procedures, safety protocols, and quality guidelines, and by coordinating with other technicians and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address safety concerns.

Job Requirements

• Relevant Diploma/NITEC qualifications in Aerospace Technology / Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent OR
• Technical certificate + relevant aviation sheet metal work experience
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals
• Skilled in using sheet metal tools and equipment (e.g., rivet guns, drills, shears, brakes)
• Familiarity with aircraft structural repair standards and practices
