Job Description:

As an Application Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create efficient and user-friendly software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Development and Maintenance:

   • Design, develop, and enhance applications using modern technologies.
   • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of applications.

2. Process Automation:

   • Implement software tools to automate existing office procedures.
   • Streamline workflows and improve efficiency by identifying areas for automation.
   • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop customized solutions.

3. Troubleshooting and Bug Fixes:

   • Investigate and resolve issues in existing applications.
   • Debug code, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
   • Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures.

4. Operational Support:

   • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing their queries and resolving issues promptly.
   • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
   • Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues.

5. Additional Responsibilities:

   • Adapt to changing priorities and take on other tasks as assigned.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
   • Contribute to a positive team environment and foster knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development.
  • Proficiency in SQL syntax and query optimisation.
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.

• Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues efficiently.
  • Analytical mindset to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with users, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Collaborative approach to work effectively in a team environment.

• Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and project management.
  • Knowledge of Outsystems (low-code platform) would be advantageous.
