1. Job Description for Assistant Manager, EHS
- Team Lead and leadership of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officers and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for company
- Serve as the appointed Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officers and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) ensuring compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Fire Safety Act and all relevant regulations.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continual improvement of EHS policies procedures and work plans to ensure a safe working environment.
- Compile, analyze, and report on WSH and fire safety performance data, ensuring continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with EHS-related statutory legal requirements and Customers’ requirements.
- Ensure all work activities comply with local WSH regulations, including managing safety training and certification for all personnel.
- Coordinate and communicate with relevant authorities (MOM, SCDF, NEA etc.) on EHS and Fire safety related matters.
- Ensure continuous effective implementation to achieve ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.
- Manage and ensure EHS inspections/audits are conducted and recommend appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
- Manage Team to identify required EHS training to ensure continuous competency of EHS Officer to perform their role as required.
- Manage and conduct risk analysis and EHS assessment.
- Manage and ensure timely investigations to identify relevant root cause and formulate effective and sustainable preventive actions.
- Ensure all relevant EHS documentations are maintained and updated for retrieval as and when required.
- Promote and lead safety awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture within the organization.
2. Job Description for Fire Safety Manager
- Develop, maintain, and implement fire emergency response plans, including conducting regular fire drills and inspections.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure that fire safety systems (such as alarms, extinguishers, and sprinkler systems) are properly maintained and operational.
- Liaise with relevant authorities on fire safety inspections, audits, and certifications, and ensure all fire safety equipment and systems are compliant with local regulations.
- Provide regular fire safety training to all personnel and ensure emergency evacuation procedures are up to date and practiced.
- Manage appointment and competency of safety roles (CERT, First Aiders etc.) are adequate to meet operational needs.
- Liaise with internal departments, subcontractors, and customers to address safety concerns and improve maintenance practices.
- Compile, analyze, and report on fire safety performance data, ensuring continuous improvement in fire safety practices.
Job Requirements
- Minimum a Diploma in an engineering or equivalent field.
- Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
- Must be a registered Fire Safety Manager with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in an aviation environment.
- Leadership and management skill and experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly motivated, capable of working independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to consult and influence stakeholders, collaborate with others, and value their contribution.
- Ability to use relevant Microsoft applications for report writing, data collection and analytics for performance trending and development of EHS related contents
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management Systems and local WSH and Fire Safety regulations
- Candidates with Noise Control Officer (NCO) Qualification will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Qualification will be an added advantage.
