Responsibilities:
General Ledger & Month-End Closing:
- Perform monthly closing activities including preparation the journal entries and financial schedules for assigned sections such as accruals, prepayments (excluding COS) etc.
Balance Sheet Management:
- Maintain accurate accounting treatment and entries of Right-of-Use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities (LL).
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations and respective supporting schedules.
Profit & Loss Management:
- Maintain and prepare journal entries for operating expenses (OPEX), including Manpower cost, General & Administrative (G&A), Marketing, Rental and maintenance costs etc.
- Account for finance income/expenses and unrealized foreign exchange differences.
Audit Support:
- Assist in the coordination and execution of statutory audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of schedules and documentation requested by auditors. Also, assisting in XBRL filling per ACRA requirements.
Tax Provisioning:
- Prepare tax provisions and support corporate tax compliance in accordance with IRAS regulations.
Budget vs Actual Analysis via Cost Centre Reporting:
- Perform quarterly reporting and analysis of actual financial performance against budget (assigned sections), highlighting key variances for respective cost centres (CC).
Ad-hoc projects or assignments:
- Any ad-hoc projects or assignments for instance involvement in the process of migration of system, special audit, and others.
Role Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a deep understanding of financial management processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude and self-motivated.
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills, along with meticulous attention to detail.
- Must have knowledge of accounting software. SAP Knowledge is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
