Responsibilities:

General Ledger & Month-End Closing:

  • Participate in the month-end closing, including preparation and review of journal entries and financial schedules for assigned sections such as revenue, cost of sales etc.
  • Prepare and submit the monthly reporting pack to STE within the set deadlines.

Profit & Loss Management:

  • Involve in managing accounting for revenue recognition and cost of sales, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Process and post transactions related to minor purchases made via corporate credit cards.

Balance Sheet Management:

  • Maintain the fixed asset register and CAPEX records as well as calculate the monthly depreciation for property, plant, and equipment (PPE).

Audit Support:

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of statutory audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of schedules and documentation requested by auditors.

Tax Provisioning:

  • Prepare tax provisions and support corporate tax compliance in accordance with IRAS regulations.
  • Prepare and file quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GST tax regulations.

Budget vs Actual Analysis via Cost Centre Reporting:

  • Perform quarterly reporting and analysis of actual financial performance against budget (assigned sections), highlighting key variances for respective cost centers (CC).

Ad-hoc projects or assignments:

  • Any ad-hoc projects or assignments for instance involvement in the process of migration of system, special audit, and others.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.

 

Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude and self-motivated.
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of IFRS15 is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of accounting software. SAP Knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
