We are seeking a passionate System Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work in a constantly evolving environment, due to technological advances and strategic direction of the various project stakeholders. You will create, maintain and improve systems to meet particular needs. You will also test both hard and software systems to diagnose and resolve system faults.

• Participate in the design, implementation and commissioning of a system.
• Defines customers’ needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
• Assists in the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output.
• Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Participates in the development of customized software and hardware requirement.
• Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
• Establish, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Create technical specification documentations.
• Work closely with users and team members
• Investigate and propose new technologies to support the design, implementation of the system
• Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and external courses, reading manuals and accessing new technologies.
• Support systems located at classified site.
• Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Provide support within SLA agreement. 24 x 7 Phone support (where applicable).
• Liaise with vendors and team for problem resolution.
• Timely reporting on the log sheet for the rapid response to any glitches. 
• Monitor and manage all installed systems: Monitor and troubleshoot installed systems and infrastructure for possible performance bottleneck, identify possible solution and work with team to resolve and implement fixes; Ability to write scripts to assist in troubleshooting or improve efficiency.
• Implements warranty and support activities.
• Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Operating Systems, application software and system management tools. Install, Configure, Test Operating system including patches.
• Perform corrective maintain i.e. troubleshooting and quick recovery for systems, application software and system management tools faults.

Qualities We Value

• Proven work experience as a System Engineer
• Pro-active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team and good interpersonal skills.
• Experience in some of the following technology is advantageous:
  • Experience in Windows server 2008/2012/2016 administration and installation
  • Experience in configuring and applying security policy to Windows server
  • Experience in setup and maintaining VMWare vSphere environment
  • Experience in configuring FC SAN
  • Experience in Veritas NetBackup software
  • Familiar with security products and system tools, eg VMWare, Netbackup, Solarwinds, Centrify, Windows Server.
