You will be a key technology partner to our customers in the Defence sector to thrive on developing the next breakthrough for the defence and security of Singapore. Working closely with the Customer, Project Manager and Technical Lead, you will be part of a project management team as part of an overall project implementation.

The System Architect will play a key leadership and integration role within the project, responsible for aligning infrastructure and application software teams, ensuring cohesive and scalable system architecture to meet project goals.

  • Lead the integration of System Infrastructure and Application Software teams, ensuring architectural consistency and alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate, refine, and implement scalable, secure, and reliable system architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Technical Leads, ensuring alignment with architectural principles, standards, and strategic direction.
  • Support department leadership in technical resource planning, including advising on resource allocation, role assignments, and skillset alignment across project phases.
  • Oversee the implementation of architectural designs, ensuring system solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, risks, and bottlenecks during the system development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Guide deployment and engineering teams, providing oversight and ensuring that implementation aligns with architectural design and quality standards.
  • Communicate architecture-related decisions, risks, and updates to stakeholders, offering solutions to address system performance or integration issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive system analysis across enterprise environments to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop, document, and maintain system architecture standards, procedures, and design artifacts to support ongoing system evolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure application development teams are equipped with architectural frameworks, tools, and guidance to deliver robust, maintainable solutions.

 

Qualities We Value

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of proven track record in ICT implementation, including systems architecture, enterprise infrastructure, and application integration across complex environments.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing diverse aspects of IT systems including infrastructure, application platforms, deployment strategies, and lifecycle governance.
  • Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including contractors, internal resources, and customers. Proven experience in leading technical teams and providing guidance to technical leads.
  • Self-motivated with a strong passion for system operations, architecture governance, and production support. Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and service reliability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to make informed, timely, and effective decisions under pressure.
  • Candidates who are available to start immediately or within a short notice period will be given preference.
  • Prior experience with government IT systems, compliance frameworks, and procurement processes will be considered a significant advantage.
