The System Engineer is responsible for implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the IT systems, providing technical support, and collaborating with various teams to optimize system performance and scalability.

- System Maintenance and Support
- Monitor and maintain system performance, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network components.
- Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches to ensure system stability and security.
- Technical Documentation
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Create and manage knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with other IT professionals, including network engineers, developers, and database administrators, to ensure seamless system integration and operation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other stakeholders as needed.
- Security and Compliance
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve system-related problems in a timely manner.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence issues.
Qualities We Value
- 3 years of experience in system engineering, administration, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and server hardware.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, design, and integration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Experience with network configurations, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with database management and backup solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
