About the Role

As a Test & Commissioning Assistant Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead and oversee all test planning, test execution, and system commissioning activities across a variety of system domains for a Smart City Project. This includes applications, cloud system, on-premise enterprise IT system, data center, ICT, structured cabling and civil works for cabling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the test planning, scheduling, and execution of test and commissioning processes for digital platform projects in smart city.
• Collaborate closely with various project managers covering various domain tracks from applications, cloud system, on-premise enterprise IT system, data center, ICT, structured cabling and civil works for cabling.
• Develop overall test & commissioning strategies and bring it into execution and fruition.
• Work with multiple project managers (domain track leaders) to develop detailed test plans, procedures, and documentation to guide commissioning activities.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues promptly throughout testing phases, including system integration testing, functional testing, user acceptance testing and work with 3rd party vendors on vulnerability assessment & penetration testing.
• Manage customer expectations, various project domain tracks including subcontractors and test deliveries
• Manage resources, including personnel and equipment, to accomplish project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to provide clear status updates and technical insights.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating lessons learned and emerging best practices.

About You

To excel in this role, you will possess a strong technical background in test and commissioning within digital or urban engineering contexts. Proven experience managing complex projects with cross-functional teams is essential. You are expected to demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Your ability to stay organised under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail will be vital to your success.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive experience in test and commissioning management, preferably within digital platforms or urban infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks related to testing and commissioning.
• Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage a variety of stakeholders.
