As an IT and Facilities Support Executive in a training centre, your role involves overseeing the IT systems and infrastructure to support the training programs, providing technical support to trainers and trainees, managing classroom technology and equipment, coordinating facility maintenance and repairs to ensure a conducive learning environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of both IT and facilities services to support training/business activities (including weekends if required). You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining training equipment, managing software and hardware resources, and ensuring that all IT and facilities services meet the needs of the training centre. Additionally, you may be involved in setting up and configuring training classrooms and supporting the implementation of new technologies to enhance the training experience. You will ensure that software, licenses and operations comply with ST Engineering Standards.

 

Be Part of Our Success

 

  • Provide IT desktop support and set-up for Classrooms and Staff PCs
  • Install, configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot computer desktops, firewall and server operating systems (Microsoft servers, Linux servers, VMWare, virtual machines etc), as and when needed.
  • Perform routine system administration duties (eg. Backup and storage functions) and security maintenance.
  • Properly perform and maintain accurate documentations for all IT processes, (eg. SOP, keep track of the assets)
  • Perform tasks related to facility maintenance and troubleshooting when required.
  • Facilitate Principal exams administration.

 

Qualities We Value

 

  • 1-2 years of working experience in implementing and maintaining IT systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding in the following:
    • virtualization
    • operating system’s system administration
    • open source
    • backup and storage
    • cloud computing
    • facility management
  • Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences (external vendors and internal stakeholders)
  • Well-balanced team player who is willing to help-out team members as well as work cohesively between cross-functional teams.
