Description: 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of microgrid systems integrating renewable energy, hybrid sources, energy storage, and high‑voltage distribution for fixed and mobile platforms.
  • Develop and optimize system architectures for EV/UXV charging infrastructure, fast charging, and bidirectional power systems (V2G/V2L/V2V).
  • Perform detailed sizing, selection, and integration of batteries, inverters, chargers, DC/DC converters, and energy management systems.
  • Develop and implement control strategies for microgrid operation—load sharing, synchronization and power quality management.
  • Plan and execute system testing & validation, including lab testing, hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL), and field trials for charging and microgrid systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure electrical integration with vehicles, platforms, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and provide engineering solutions to technical issues in HV components, power distribution, or charging systems.
  • Prepare documentation, including schematics, system diagrams, test procedures, design reports, and technical presentations.
  • Support prototyping, commissioning, and deployment, including hands-on troubleshooting when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in high‑voltage power electronics, EV charging systems, or advanced electrical systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge in microgrid architecture, energy storage and BMS, power electronics, EV/UXV charging technologies, bidirectional power systems, and renewable energy sources.
  • Proficiency in modelling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink or AMESIM).
  • Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and integration schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical protection, earthing, harmonics, and power quality fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with HV systems testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle complex multi‑disciplinary issues.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across different engineering domains.
  • Independent, resourceful, and adaptable, with a strong drive to learn and innovate.
  • Class 3 driving license preferred.
