Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Plan Manager to drive business development and strategic planning for our range of defence-related products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local defence sector, government procurement processes, and a proven track record in business development, preferably in defence or security industries.

Job Description:

  • Identify and develop new business strategies and opportunities for the local defence sector and armed forces.
  • Identify and form strategic partnerships with local and overseas defence industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the Ministry of Defence, armed services, and associated agencies.
  • Understand customer requirements and work with internal teams (engineering, operations, logistics, legal, etc.) to develop business solutions.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and coordinate tender submissions.
  • Monitor defence procurement policies, offset obligations, and regulatory frameworks to align business strategies.
  • Represent the company at defence expos, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Prepare, track and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and KPIs to senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Defence Studies, Business, or related field. MBA is an advantage.
  •  5 to10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in defence, security, or government-related sectors.
  • Understanding of government procurement and tendering processes.
  • Strong network within defence and government sectors is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings, events, and expos.
  • Familiarity with Ministry of Defence Procurement guide, processes and offset policy.
  • Experience in working with defence technologies, systems or dual-use technologies.
  • Prior service in the armed forces (officer level) is a strong plus.
