Title:  Design Engineer (Protection Systems)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Engineer to join our Advanced Material Solutions Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting critical projects related to protection systems, ensuring reliability and performance across all stages of development.

Job Description:

• Assist in the design, optimization, and development of protection systems to meet project requirements, security requirements, and industry standards.
• Support the fabrication of prototypes and fixtures, ensuring precision and functionality for protection system applications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, design specifications, test reports, and process guidelines.
• Provide engineering support for production and quality assurance to resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations and execution teams to drive project success.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into innovative solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/ Materials. Engineering/ Engineering Product Development/ Engineering Systems and Design and/ or a related field of study.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Solidworks) is considered an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with prototype development and fabrication processes.
• Willing to travel for field testing and supplier engagement.
