Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving the robotics business (P&L and revenue) in the defence sector
• Responsible for the development, solutioning and management of defence robotics business for both local & overseas customers
• Take lead to pursue tender or contract bids
• Manage resource planning within teams
• Understand the current and future technology trends to steer the company’s focus to identify market demands based on customer needs
• Understanding of Robotics, Autonomation and Unmanned Systems Technology
• Develop engagement plan and winning strategy for robotics and unmanned systems
• Conduct tender evaluation in accordance with customer requirements
• Identify customer pain points and work with relevant departments to formulate solutions for the purpose of product development
• Manage allocated Business Development budget
• Must be willing to travel overseas (whenever required)

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (other degrees will be considered)
• Experience in P&L and revenue responsibility and accountability, with proven track record
• At least 10 years' experience in commercial and/or military robotics system related field
• Candidates with hands-on or in-depth robotics / unmanned technology knowledge will be an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient in speaking and writing in English; proficiency in other languages will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of sustainable energy industry will be an added advantage
• Proven experience in strategic planning
• Ability to develop and effectively articulate business plan for stakeholders
• Proven experience in risk management
• Familiarity with local defence eco-system will be preferred
