About our Line of Business – Cloud & Data Centre Solutions

ST Engineering Cloud and Data Centre Solutions Pte Ltd provide all aspects of cloud management, services, and solutions, from initial setup and migration to ongoing operations and optimization. Services include engineering works to design, build and provide facility management service for mission critical environments such data centres, disaster recovery, and business continuity sites.

This position involves being responsible for providing deep technical expertise to ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of electrical infrastructure within the data centre. This role establishes engineering standards, supports operations teams, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensures all electrical systems meet performance and regulatory requirements. The individual will need to work effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally with colleagues, supervisors and customers.

 

Be Part of Our Success 

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for all electrical systems in the data centre.
  • Establish and maintain electrical engineering standards, technical guidelines, and best practices.
  • Provide technical consultancy during design reviews, upgrades, troubleshooting, and incident investigations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, system performance reviews, and technical audits.
  • Oversee and validate maintenance programs for electrical equipment such as:
    • High/Low Voltage switchgear
    • UPS systems and batteries (VRLA/Li-ion)
    • Generators and fuel systems
    • PDU/RPP/STS/busway systems
    • Earthing, bonding, and lightning protection
  • Ensure accurate preventive and corrective maintenance execution by in-house teams and vendors.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, performance trends, and operational risks.
  • Drive improvements in electrical system uptime, resilience, and redundancy.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA) for electrical incidents and develop corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Maintain Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), asset documentation, and operating procedures.
  • Support electrical load studies, failure mode analysis, and lifecycle management.
  • Participate in electrical design reviews and approve engineering drawings, schematics, and test plans.
  • Support construction, fit-out, and system upgrade projects as the electrical technical expert.
  • Lead or participate in FAT, SAT, IST, and system validation activities.
  • Ensure all new installations meet technical, safety, and uptime requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NFPA, local electrical regulations).
  • Conduct safety reviews and enforce electrical safety requirements including LOTO and PTW systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, reports, electrical studies, and audit records.

 

Qualities We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data centre, mission-critical, or industrial electrical engineering.
  • Expertise in UPS, switchgear, generators, power distribution, grounding, and protection systems.
  • Experience with redundancy models (N, N+1, 2N) and Tier requirements.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Strong vendor management and project coordination capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
