Title:  Engineer (Instrumentation)

Job Description:

• Develop expertise in extracting data from CAN bus, LIN bus, various ports, and communication protocols (including wireless) used in military and commercial vehicles.
• Analyse extracted data to identify potential failures and predict maintenance needs before they occur.
• Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to develop and refine predictive models.
• Prepare and present data-driven recommendations to optimize maintenance schedules and resource allocation.
• Work on site with field technicians to implement preventative maintenance actions based on data analysis.
• Stay current with advancements in predictive maintenance technologies and industry best practices.
• Champion the development and implementation of platform instrumentation for future predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Opportunities to expand into other related fields of engineering within the team.

 
Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical role related to vehicle systems or data analysis preferred.
• Strong understanding of CAN bus, LIN bus, communication protocols, and data acquisition techniques.
• Software programming knowledge
• Proven experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with military and/or commercial vehicle systems is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with work counterparts across all levels (including customers, suppliers, management)
