The candidate is responsible for leading and overseeing the engineering team within the military vehicle parts remanufacturing centre. This includes managing personnel, projects, budgets, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality remanufactured parts that meet customer specifications and military standards.

Leadership & Management:

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of engineering staff (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Process/Industrial, Reverse Engineering).

Assign projects and tasks to engineers based on their expertise and project requirements.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the engineering team.
-
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and implement training programs for engineering staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Manage the engineering budget and resources effectively.

Technical Oversight:
-
Provide technical guidance and support to engineers on remanufacturing processes, design, and analysis.

Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
-
Ensure compliance with military standards (MIL-SPEC) and other relevant regulations.
-
Oversee the testing and validation of remanufactured parts to ensure performance and reliability.
-
Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Project Management:

Plan and manage engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Develop project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.

Track project progress and identify potential risks or delays.

Communicate project status updates to management and other stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, quality control, logistics) to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities.

Work closely with the procurement team to source materials and equipment.

Interact with customers to understand their needs and address any technical issues.

Strategic Planning:

Contribute to the development of the overall remanufacturing strategy.

Identify opportunities for innovation and technology adoption within the engineering department.

Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in remanufacturing technologies.

Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in engineering, with a significant portion in a management or leadership role.

Proven track record of successfully managing engineering teams and projects.
-
Strong technical knowledge of military vehicle systems and components is highly desirable.
-
Familiarity with military standards and specifications (MIL-SPEC).
-
Experience or knowledge in one or more of these areas: the gyroscope calibration, sensor calibration, optic/electro optics calibration, thermal imager calibration, chip extraction technologies, FPGA firmware extraction and decoding will be highly desirable.
