Description: 

We are seeking a mission-oriented and proactive Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Engineer to be a member of our Maintenance, Repairs, Overhauls (MRO) – Engineering team to ensure the smooth functioning of our engineering, quality and reliability processes supporting Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance operations at our customer’s premises, SATS Pte Ltd. You will play a key role in maintaining operational reliability, troubleshooting issues, engaging the customer in technical/engineering issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.

You will report to the Operations Manager onsite at SATS Maintenance Centre (SMC) at 34 Changi North Crescent S(499614) based on a 5-day work shift (Monday to Friday), and professionally report to Head MRO-Engineering Department at the company HQ (for support of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical technical matters), with the following responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve technical issues utilizing practical fault tree analysis methodologies to minimize GSE downtime.
  • Conduct failure mode analysis and recommend enhance maintenance scheme to improve GSE reliability.
  • Communicate with the customers on troubleshooting, failure mode and corrective/preventive actions on technical defects.
  • Prepare technical report and presentation deck for submission and presenting to the customer when required.
  • Develop, review, and update technical documentation including maintenance manuals, repair procedures, and engineering change requests.
  • Perform spare parts obsolescence management which include identifying obsolete spare parts and mitigating risk through monitoring, alternative parts identification and build safety stocks.  
  • Collaborate closely with operations, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize maintenance schedule planning.
  • Respond to urgent technical issues, emergencies during off-office hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, automotive, or related engineering with at least 2 years of working experience OR Diploma in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, automotive, or related engineering with at least 6 years working experience in automotive, GSE or related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance operations, engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Conversant in Microsoft office skills: Words, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Able to read and understand schematics diagrams (mechanical and hydraulic, electrical is a plus).
  • Familiarity with CAD software tools, SolidWorks and hydraulic system software simulation tools is a plus.
