Description: 

The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Business Development. He/She is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills who can effectively manage the sales process from prospecting to closing.

Job Description:

  • Work with and assist the Head BD in developing sales revenue targets, identifying growth opportunities and formulating business development plans.
  • Analyse market trends and customers’ needs and develop strategies to boost sales in new markets and strengthen sales in existing markets.
  • Follow through and achieve all key performance indicators (KPIs) and realistic targets set by Head BD while fostering an environment that promotes achievement and professional growth.
  • Advocate the products and solutions that are involved in tender proposals, quotations and contract negotiations.
  • Work collaboratively across teams and functions within the KTS organisation. 
  • Generate and establish potential leads to build a sustianable project pipeline to meet sales objectives.
  • Establish and foster close working relationships with customers.
  • Identify potential new partners, present business propositions and establish reseller agreements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and increase market share.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience with a degree in any Engineering field, Marketing or Business Development with working experience, preferably on the sales and business development experience.
  • Strong command of English and able to engage stakeholders at all levels, including customers and principals.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Independent, self-motivated and able to work with a team.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to collaborate and inspire a diverse team while aligning efforts with strategic business objectives.
  • Prior military experience (Ex SAF personnel) is considered a strong advantage, providing valuable insights into Defence-related markets and clients.
  • A keen interest in Defence technologies, products, and solutions, coupled with an understanding of industry dynamics.
