Title:  Principal / Assistant Principal Engineer, Robotics Mechatronics

Job Description:

• Lead and manage the design and development of robotics and unmanned systems
• Lead and manage the team members to conceptualise, build and test prototype robotics and unmanned systems
• Perform system integration, assembly, testing and qualifications of robotics/ unmanned systems
• Incorporating sensory payloads/ accessory systems and automation of robotics or unmanned systems at the platform level
• Define software controls of unmanned systems and payloads for different applications
• Generate technical documentations and drawings
• Work with design team, local and overseas vendors and partners for prototyping and product development
• Meet customers to understand their needs, and formulate these into products to fulfil the requirements
• Participate in the build-up of new capabilities in the areas of robotics, unmanned systems and Man-Unmanned Teaming
• Conduct market assessment, research to understand and gain knowledge of unmanned and robotics technologies/ products

Requirements:

• At least a Degree in Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering (related discipline or equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in hardware development and management development in fields of robotics or equivalent
• Experience in hardware design, hardware integration, and team management.
• Good communication and management skills to handle both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of robotics and unmanned systems.
• Hands-on approach when needed, with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
• Experience in robotics management system is an added advantage.
