Responsibilities
Security Leadership Roles:
o Provide management support and oversight on physical security matters for day-to-day operation to ensure robustness and compliance of security management plans.
o Lead and engage sub-business units' security manager in the compliance of security policies and processes.
o Provide operational management over Security Services provider.
Security Policy and Procedures:
o Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines related to protective security covering Physical, Information, Operations, Document and Personnel Security to maintain a secure and safe working environment.
o Regularly review and update security policies to address changes to regulatory guidelines, emerging threats, and industry best practices.
o Communicate security policies to employees and provide training programs to ensure compliance.
· Physical Security and Administer of Security systems:
o Manage physical security measures, including access control systems, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems (IDS), integrated security alarm monitoring systems, smart parking systems and vehicle and visitor management systems
o Coordinate with facilities management to maintain the security infrastructure and address any issues that may impact security systems operations promptly, including security infrastructure upgrade projects.
o Implement and oversee security measures for the protection of company assets, facilities, and personnel.
o Administer of carparking labels and security badges for staff.
o Coordinate access control and parking reservation for VIP visits.
Security Incident Management:
o Establish and maintain an incident response plan to effectively respond to security incidents or breaches.
o Coordinate for the conduct of investigations into security incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
o Report security incident to Group Security for further direction, corrective actions and preventive measures to be instituted.
o Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, relevant authority and other external parties where required.
o Prepare and present reports on physical security incidents, trends, and metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
o Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies regarding physical security incidents and response efforts.
o Coordinate with legal and public relations teams to manage communication during high-profile incidents.
· Security Vendor and Contractor Management:
o Assess the security capabilities and compliance of third-party vendors and contractors.
o Assess, plan, deploy and manage of contracted security officers according to the site requirements and outcomes expected.
o Establish security requirements for security vendor contracts and monitor their adherence to security standards and contractual agreement.
o Conduct regular audits and assessments of vendor and contractor on compliance of security practices for desired outcomes.
Emergency Response and Business Continuity:
o Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address various incidents, such as chemical and biological threats, bomb threats, destruction of data and documentation or other crises.
o Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure emergency response plans and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
o Review and update emergency response and business continuity plans based on lessons learned and changes in the operating environment.
o Ensure compliance to SGsecure resilience audit as well as support SSWG requirements
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
o Stay updated and provide effective communication to company employees on relevant security laws, regulations by relevant authorities and industry standards.
o Ensure the company's security practices are compliant with applicable legal and regulatory requirements by relevant authorities (zoning, mustering, licensing, GEWCAct and enforcement check).
o Support Facilities Clearance through site survey, compliance checks and coordination with the authority.
o Assist sub-business units in the review of security implementation plan for project and events.
o Support HR in the preparation of security clearance vetting justifications.
Threat Intelligence and Risk Assessment:
o Conduct security risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities, evaluate potential impact of physical threats and develop appropriate risks mitigation measures.
o Evaluate existing physical security controls, policies and procedures to determine their effectiveness in mitigating identified risks.
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure security measures are integrated into business operations and processes.
o Assess the potential impact of identified threats on the company’s physical security posture.
Security Budget and Resource Management:
o Develop and manage the security budget, including the allocation of resources for security initiatives.
o Identify and evaluate new security technology solutions, vendor partnerships, and other resources to enhance security capabilities.
o Monitor and report on security-related expenses and return on investment (ROI) to senior management.
o Provide secretariat support to Security Steering Committee/ Security Working Group Meetings and follow up with outstanding actions items that arise.
o Attend Security Task Force meetings and senior management meeting to support business area representative.
Audit Planning and Execution:
o Conduct internal audits and assessments related to protective security to ensure that the instructions and guidelines are complied with.
o Develop audit plans outlining the objectives, scope and methodology for physical security audit.
o Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses and gaps in the physical security infrastructure and security processes.
o Provide recommendations for improving physical security measure and mitigating risks.
o Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, observations and recommendations for management and relevant stakeholders.
o Collaborate with management, security teams and other relevant departments to address audit findings and implement recommended solutions, in order to close the findings.
o Conduct regular security sweep exercises / spot checks to test the vigilance and alertness of the staff.Responsibilities
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in security governance, security audits, security systems management, guardroom operations, protection of classified information andcompliance management.
- Prior experience in physical security and classified information security is essential.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Specialist (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Security Investigator (PSI) or Industrial Security Professional (ISP) is a plus.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders. This includes effective negotiation and representation skills.
