Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Vehicular System Design and Development:
    1. Define system requirements for vehicle.
    2. Conduct competitor studies and evaluate the viability of proposed system designs and specifications.
    3. Design and develop Conventional and HED system onto vehicle
    4. Understanding customers’ needs and responsible for establishing, maintaining, and managing configuration baselines across all vehicle subsystems and variants.
    5. Develop vehicle variants and integrate new systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation.

 

  1. Implementation and Integration:
    1. Implementation of engineering systems, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
    2. Develop and execute test plans to validate vehicle system functionality and performance.
    3. Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions to address system failures or deficiencies.

 

  1. Documentation and Compliance:
    1. Create comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, system requirements, design documents, and user manuals.
    2. Ensure compliance with industry/military/automotive standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
    3. Manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), Drawings, and Part Numbers Control, ensuring consistent configuration across vehicle variants.

 

  1. Continuous Improvement:
    1. Identify opportunities for system optimisation, enhancement to achieve target system cost.
    2. Conduct research and evaluate emerging technologies to stay abreast of industry trends.

 

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    1. Work closely with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, and software engineering, to achieve integrated solutions.
    2. Collaborate with project managers, product managers, and stakeholders to align engineering systems with business objectives

Qualifications and Skills Required

  1. Good understanding of automotive systems and system engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing complex engineering systems.
  2. Proficiency in engineering design tools, simulation software, and project management methodologies.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
