Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle and vehicle wiring, with the ability to guide workshops on the proper installation of specific electronic devices. This role involves providing technical support and advice to workshop teams, and performing hands-on installations as needed to ensure correct wiring and installation practices.

 

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Provide technical advice and support to workshops on vehicle wiring and installation procedures including the identification of correct wiring points.
  • Address and resolve any technical queries related to device installation.
  • Update and maintain technical documents for the project.
  • Conduct on-site visits to workshops for audit and to offer hands-on support and guidance as needed.
  • Perform hands-on installation of devices when necessary.
  • Ensure all installations adhere to requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with workshop personnel to ensure clear understanding of technical instructions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle wiring and installation techniques.
  • Attend training sessions to stay informed about new information and installation practices.
  • Support technical training for new technicians.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience with vehicle specifically in wiring and installations.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle and it’s electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to various workshop locations as required.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on installations when needed.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle will be an added advantage.

Reporting Relationship

  • The incumbent reports to the Project Manager
