Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Materials Management
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, components, and spare parts
Ensure accurate stock records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits
Manage slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory


2. Production Support
Ensure timely availability of materials to meet production schedules
Coordinate with production planning and operations teams
Resolve material shortages to prevent production downtime


3. Planning & Forecasting
Review Material Requirement Planning (MRP) outputs
Align material supply with production forecasts and demand plans
Adjust plans based on changes in production schedules or demand


4. Supplier Coordination
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Track purchase orders (POs) and follow up on delays
Work with procurement teams on supplier performance issues


5. Logistics & Warehousing
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities
Ensure proper storage, handling, and FIFO/FEFO compliance
Optimize warehouse space and material flow


6. Cost & Efficiency Management
Support cost reduction initiatives (e.g., inventory optimization, waste reduction)
Improve material handling and storage processes
Identify and implement process improvements


7. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and automotive standards
Prepare inventory reports, KPIs, and material status updates
Maintain accurate documentation and traceability

Key Responsibilities

  • Certificate/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
  • Min 3 years of experience in materials control, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) & Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles
  • Knowledge of automotive production environments (JIT, Kanban)
  • Advantage: Familiarity with automotive quality standards & Exposure to MRO or aftermarket parts management
