Title:  Materials Engineer

Job Description

• Conduct literature reviews and support experimental research activities.
• Perform materials production, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Assist in field trials, testing, and evaluation activities.
• Document materials processing procedures, experimental findings, and field trial results, including the preparation of technical reports.
• Source and procure materials, equipment, and laboratory consumables.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and stock records.
• Coordinate and monitor the periodic maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Materials Science & Engineering or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of material properties, processing, fabrication, and testing methodologies.
• Strong research and experimental skills, including the ability to conduct literature reviews, design and execute experiments, analyze results, and support field trials.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
• Experience in laboratory operations, including inventory management, procurement, and coordination of equipment maintenance.
• Meticulous, organized, and able to maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices, risk assessment processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
