IT Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to attend/respond/monitor incident and service tickets, engage and assist users with software or hardware issues and to ensure all tickets are closed within SLAs.
  • Responsible to manage with close follow up on assigned IT project tasks to ensure timely and successful completion, to achieve good user experience and satisfaction from IT support
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate IT inventories, follow through annual audit process and requirements: e.g. Records of hardware, software, equipment, consumables and other related IT supplies, etc.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to relevant PICs to Group Support teams (Helpdesk, Network, Server, M365, Security, etc.)
  • Daily support includes but not limited to preparation of PCs for new hire or deployments, assist in printers and copiers setup, support of meeting rooms, etc.
  • Support IT Manager in operational field support and as a Technical Lead to guide and motivate Field Support Engineers (FSE) to optimize their work performance and productivity.
  • Build up technical know-how on problem solving via structured knowledge transfer and experience from field issues.
  • Coordinate with IT maintenance vendors for problem reporting, place service calls, and ensure resolution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ITE/Diploma in IT or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience of 3 to 4 years
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous technical learning and self-upgrading.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Office365) and Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 and 11).
  • Knowledgeable in basic networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, and network switches.
  • Travel to on-site locations, such as shipyards and naval bases will be required.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service abilities.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, quick learner, and customer-oriented approach.
