Role: Planner cum Schedule Controller

 

Responsibilities

The Planner cum Schedule Controller will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all project activities related to the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) project. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

 

  1. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS):
    • Establish and manage a comprehensive work breakdown structure (WBS) based on the requirements from all user groups
  2. P6 Programming:
    • Develop, implement, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6
    • Integrate BIM models with P6 schedules to create a comprehensive project plan
    • Monitor and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables
  3. Schedule Management:
    • Prepare, implement, and manage detailed project schedules with resources by integrating inter-discipline requirements to establish logical work sequences.
    • Schedule actual progress, analyze forecasts, manage critical paths, and report the overall work in all levels of detail on a weekly basis
  4. Progress Monitoring and Control:
    • Monitor and control progress on major deliverables such as procedures, designs, drawings, materials, manpower, equipment, and work hours
    • Identify and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation
  5. Data Management:
    • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into project progress and performance
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all project management tools
  6. Reporting:
    • Prepare progress reports showing the actual, planned, and forecasted progress of all discipline elements in tabular and graphic forms
    • Prepare narrative weekly reports from all workgroups showing achievements, ongoing and planned activities, and key issues
  7. Resource Management:
    • Coordinate with various departments to ensure the availability of resources and materials required for project execution
    • Optimize resource allocation and utilization to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness
  8. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and timelines
    • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, address issues, and update schedules as necessary
  9. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and meeting minutes
    • Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices
  10. EAC and POC management:
    • Good knowledge of EAC and POC management
  11. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project planning and scheduling efficiency
    • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in project management tools and techniques

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management software Primavera P6.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in the waste management or environmental engineering sector.
  • Proven experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in large-scale process plant projects involving multi-MEICA systems or packages.
  • Good knowledge of POC.
