Job Description Summary
The incumbent will take on an active role in the overall management of the projects and serve as a single point of contact in co-ordination with and consultation with the Customer’s Representative.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Contractual interface between the customer
- Managing customers’ expectation. Include the relationship with clients and stakeholders
- Managing cost and profitability
- Scheduling of projects
- Resource planning
- Able to manage and control quality
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Plan resources availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Vendors sourcing and evaluation. Negotiation with suppliers
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Administrative aspects of job management
- Tender support
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management with proven and demonstration abilities
- Experience in team management, including staff development
- Good understanding of P&L management
- Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and develop business
- Able to monitor and direct all stakeholders to complete assigned projects based on client requirement; anticipates and resolves issues relating to support department operations and maintains high quality control
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills
- Demonstrated analytical, deductive and negotiating skills
- Aptitude in decision-making, project management and problem-solving
- Self-motivated, driven and possess good analytical skills
- Able to understand technical drawings, specifications and requirement
- Able to work independently, a strong team player and to handle fast paced projects.
- Optimization of the sequence, method including change of design to meet project requirements within the overall schedule
- Willing to travel overseas for job assignment
