The Business Development Manager for Learning Technologies will be instrumental in identifying, managing, and closing new business opportunities within the education technology sector. This role demands expertise in bids management and overseeing the process from the tender phase to the tender award phase. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in business development, a deep understanding of learning technologies, and extensive knowledge of learning management systems, training management, smart learning spaces, content development.

Bids Management:
- Identify and pursue business opportunities in the learning technologies market, focusing on areas like learning management systems and smart learning environments.
- Prepare and review comprehensive bid documents, ensuring they meet client specifications and leverage industry knowledge.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally to compile bid submissions, drawing on insights from content development and learning science experts.
- Formulate competitive pricing strategies that align with cutting-edge educational technologies.
Tender Phase Management:
- Oversee the tender process from initial inquiry to final submission, specializing in tailored solutions for educational contexts.
- Analyze complex tender documents to fully understand client needs, especially regarding innovative learning solutions.
- Conduct detailed tender briefings and client meetings to clarify and refine project goals.
Kick-off Meeting Management:
- Lead initial meetings to ensure project stakeholders are aligned with the objectives, especially in deploying learning and training technologies.
- Develop and oversee project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met and adjusting plans as necessary to meet project goals.
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients and partners, particularly those involved in educational technology.
- Act as the main point of contact for all client interactions during the project lifecycle, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to track trends and opportunities in learning technologies, training management, and content development.
- Create strategies to capitalize on market trends and position the company as a leader in innovative educational solutions.
Qualities We Value
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, particularly in learning technologies or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex bids and tender processes in the education sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Advanced organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project software, and possibly other educational technology tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Direct experience in the education technology industry.
- Familiarity with local and international regulations and standards in educational procurement.
- Relevant certifications in project management, educational technology, or related disciplines.
