Our Training & Simulation Systems business has close to 40 years of experience in delivering innovative learning, training, and simulation solutions to customers in the defence, public safety and security, and enterprise domains. Developing applications aimed at improving the cybersecurity of various simulator and training systems and involves close collaboration with the project team leads to achieve this goal.
Be Part of Our Success
- Assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure system architectures in simulator environment.
- Supports the application of security-by-design principles throughout the system development lifecycle under the guidance of senior team members.
- Contributes to the development of security documentation and artefacts, including basic threat models, system diagrams, and configuration standards.
- Participates in the implementation and configuration of security controls such as identity and access management, endpoint protection, network security rules, encryption, and logging solutions.
- Performs vulnerability scans, basic security assessments, and configuration reviews, escalating findings and assisting with remediation activities.
- Supports periodic security reviews to help ensure compliance with established cybersecurity standards and policies.
- Assists in maintaining cybersecurity documentation and secure configuration baselines.
- Works collaboratively with other cybersecurity engineers, system administrators, and developers to help implement secure solutions across projects.
- Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning in cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and best practices.
Qualities We Value
- Relevant coursework or certifications in network security, operating systems, cryptography or secure software development is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Introductory knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including confidentiality, integrity, availability (CIA triad).
- Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools, endpoint protection, SIEM platforms, or firewalls is advantageous.
- Foundational scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and understanding of confidentiality requirements.
