Job Description Summary

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the design and implementation of digital trunked radio system for MRT/LRT Communications System Projects, Singapore as well as overseas.

 

Key Job Accountabilities

 

  • Analyse the project requirements for radio system.
  • Study architecture drawings (including use of BIM software) and provide rf coverage design, link budget calculation and cable route.
  • Perform rf intermodulation/interference studies, EMC/EMI and cell planning for Radio system.
  • Perform system integration, interfacing to other sub-systems, troubleshooting, site testing and commissioning and warranty support. Read, understand, interpret, and explain technical documentation, engage in complex technical designs, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
  • Ensure that the requirements are met and obtain client' concurrence.
  • Plan, facilitate and attend project meetings and handle other administrative/miscellaneous tasks.
  • Manage external and internal stakeholder’s engagement and expectation.
  • Interact with suppliers and / or subcontractors for reliable products with appropriate track records.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to multi-task handling in projects, working under pressure, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel for overseas assignment and performing work during railway engineering hours.
  • Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good effective communication skills.
  • Able to use Microsoft office tools application.
  • Familiarity of radio communications systems products from multiple established suppliers and understanding technical terms (including peripheral integration protocols, radio network parameters & rf propagation model, air interface protocol) in railway/train environment will have an advantage in application.
