Job Description Summary
The incumbent will take on an active role in installation cable route drawing for submission and implementation for various rail systems.
Key Job Accountabilities
- To carry out the planning for the installation schedule, installation design drawing/documents and submit to customer for approval.
- To prepare and submit the installation document/method statement to customer for approval.
- To attend customer meeting and SWCs interface co-ordination meeting, CCSM/SEM working meeting, RCP co-ordination meeting, APSS/Architect interface meeting, CIP co-ordination meeting, construction meeting, 4WRP meeting, Site working/safety meeting.
- To review and comment on Civil’s ALP drawings, CSSM/SEM drawings, APS interface details drawings and update of Construction drawings.
- To attend site casting inspection and pull through test etc.
- To submit the Permit to Work (PTW) to customer for approval prior to the site installation work.
- To coordinate with system engineers and to provide the required BoQ for the installation materials, cables, field equipment and devices for the site installation.
- To coordinate & supervise the sub-contractor for the site installation work, including equipment installation, cable laying/termination/testing etc.
- To attend site inspection/PGI with customer and update design/As-built drawing.
- To submit daily and monthly installation progress report and photos.
- To supervise the site installation work at the existing MRT stations/tunnel after revenue hours (11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.), including Saturday/Sunday. Installation engineer shall report to office at 2pm after the night work.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Diploma/NITEC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering
- 1-5 years’ experience in leading a team of site engineers and sub-contractors’ skilled workers in execution large-scale electronics, electrical & mechanical installation.
- Installation experiences in railway industry is preferred
- Willing and able to work on weekends and at night (11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m)

- The incumbent reports to Senior Manager, EMI, Mobility Rail
