Requirements for the Position of Quality Assurance Engineer (Mobility Rail) – Passenger Information Systems Division

           

Job Requirements

  • The incumbent must possess at least a diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Communication Engineering, and preferably have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in MRT project environment.

 

  • Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on experience in railway train-borne communication systems, including Public Address (PA), Passenger Information System (PIS), and Video Surveillance Systems (VSS/TVSS), with preference given to candidates who have worked in a Quality Assurance (QA) environment in MRT projects.

 

  • Able to work independently on Passenger Information Systems (PIS) for railway projects.

 

  • Demonstrate strong supervisory capabilities in managing, coordinating, and overseeing subcontractors’ quality to ensure the PIS products successfully delivered to customer.

 

  • Willingness to travel overseas to support QA/QC activities related to production for project delivery.

 

  • Preferably possess knowledge of problem-solving methodologies, including 8D reporting, as well as other Quality Assurance tools and techniques. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 22163 will be an advantage.

 

  • Able to work effectively with personnel at all levels, including subcontractors, and respond promptly to production issues with timely and effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Project QAM, provide comprehensive support in all QA/QC activities across railway projects to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.

 

  • Establish, maintain, and implement quality management programs for project activities to achieve defined quality objectives and performance targets.

 

  • Proactively identify and initiate preventive actions to mitigate potential nonconformities affecting processes and the quality management system.

 

  • Systematically identify, record, and report issues related to project processes and the quality management system to ensure proper tracking and resolution.

 

  • Proactively initiate, recommend, and deliver solutions to process and quality issues through designated channels to ensure effective resolution and continuous improvement.

 

  • Ensure and verify the proper implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions addressing issues related to project processes and the quality management system.

 

  • Ensure effective control over further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until all identified nonconformities have been properly corrected and verified

 

  • Ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions for deficiencies identified during audits and verify their effectiveness to support continuous improvement.

 

  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement programs aimed at enhancing project processes and the effectiveness of the quality management system.

 

  • Work closely with local and oversea subsidiaries and subcontractors to implement and maintain quality control and quality assurance programs supporting project production.
