Job Description Summary
The Quality Control Engineer is directly reporting to the Head, QA Branch. Operationally, he will interact with the Division /Department /Project Manager to render his QAQC support. With regards to the quality performance in Division /Department /Project QA/QC activities, his responsibilities includes the following:
Key Job Accountabilities
- Maintain and implement quality program for the activities in the Division /Department /Project to meet the Division /Department /Project quality objectives and goals
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory bodies on standards and requirements
- Plan & Implement the QC functions in Division /Department /Project and if applicable, lead a team of QC personnel for these function
- Schedule and perform quality Inspection and audit on Division /Department /Project quality program
- Perform FAI and Quality Inspection ( Incoming & Outgoing ).
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to the product, process and quality system
- Identify and record any problem relating to the product, process and quality system
- Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the non-conformities identified have been corrected.
- Assure the timely completion of corrective actions on deficiencies found during audit and verify its effectiveness
- Participate in continuous improvement programs related to the product, process and quality system
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Reporting Relationship
- The incumbent reports to Senior Manager, QA, Mobility Rail
