Our Unmanned & Integrated Systems business offers holistic solutions in system engineering and integration. We pioneer maritime robotics and autonomy solutions, provide system integration for complex naval and island air defence System-of-Systems (SoS), and take care of the operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence (C4I) systems. We cater to the needs of Defence, Public Safety & Security, and Commercial clients worldwide, providing seamless and innovative services that redefine possibilities.

As a Full Stack & AI Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced software solutions that enhance the functionality and capabilities of maritime electronic systems. The role requires close collaboration with a diverse range of professionals, including hardware engineers, system architects, project managers and AI specialists, enabling you to deliver robust, scalable and reliable solutions in a highly dynamic environment.

• Develop, test and maintain both client-side and server-side components of complex maritime electronic software systems, ensuring excellent performance, scalability and responsiveness under demanding operational conditions.
• Engage fully in the software development lifecycle: from requirements analysis, system and software design, implementation, verification and testing, to deployment, maintenance and support.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to translate intricate technical requirements and mission objectives into efficient, secure, and maintainable software applications.
• Apply industry best practices for software engineering include rigorous code reviews, use of version control systems, automated testing frameworks, continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to the evaluation, adoption and integration of emerging technologies, tools and frameworks, including AI and machine learning techniques, to continuously enhance product capability and maintain state-of-the-art advantages.
• Provide ongoing support for software deployments, promptly addressing technical issues and ensuring uninterrupted system uptime and reliability in maritime environments.
• Work within Agile teams, participating actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a collaborative and productive development culture.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related technical field.
• Proven experience as a full stack software developer with solid proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java, demonstrating the ability to build both frontend and backend systems effectively.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular, as well as back-end frameworks including Node.js or Spring Boot, with an emphasis on creating intuitive user interfaces and scalable server-side APIs.
• Experience working with a range of database technologies, including relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), coupled with expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with AI development concepts and libraries would be an advantage, enabling you to contribute to innovative AI-driven maritime applications.
• Competence in using software development tools and supporting Agile methodologies that promote iterative development and timely delivery of high-quality software products.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail ensuring robust and secure software solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and to engage with diverse stakeholders professionally and respectfully.
