Our Unmanned & Integrated Systems business offers holistic solutions in system engineering and integration. We pioneer maritime robotics and autonomy solutions, provide system integration for complex naval and island air defence System-of-Systems (SoS), and take care of the operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence (C4I) systems. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and structures across a range of engineering projects.
The role involves working in a multidisciplinary environment to deliver robust, reliable, and compliant engineering solutions from concept through to production and deployment.
Be Part of Our Success
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
- Prepare engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions
- Support system integration activities across mechanical, electrical, and control domains
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation activities
- Support manufacturing, fabrication, and installation processes
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and safety requirements
- Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to technical proposals, documentation, and project deliverables
Qualities We Value
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3–8 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with engineering analysis tools and methods
- Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
- Ability to perform basic structural and thermal calculations
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing methods
- Familiarity with mechanical system integration and layout considerations
- Understanding of engineering standards, codes, and compliance requirements
- Exposure to testing, validation, and quality assurance processes
- Experience working on complex or multidisciplinary engineering systems
- Familiarity with environmental and durability considerations (e.g., vibration, temperature, outdoor conditions)
- Exposure to industrial, transportation, or infrastructure-related projects
- Experience supporting fabrication, assembly, or site implementation activities
- Experience in ruggedized, industrial, or field-deployed systems preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong sense of accountability
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Practical, hands-on engineering mindset
- Adaptable to dynamic project environments
