Our Unmanned & Integrated Systems business offers holistic solutions in system engineering and integration. We pioneer maritime robotics and autonomy solutions, provide system integration for complex naval and island air defence System-of-Systems (SoS), and take care of the operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence (C4I) systems. We cater to the needs of Defence, Public Safety & Security, and Commercial clients worldwide, providing seamless and innovative services that redefine possibilities.

As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in working closely with the Programme/ Project Managers with managing and enhancing our Unmanned Maritime Systems projects. Your expertise will be instrumental as part of the designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions for operational efficiency and safety of unmanned surface vessel systems.  Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will translate customer requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Project Planning & Coordination:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate USV projects from inception to completion. Develop and support management of detailed project timelines, along with budgets, and resource allocation plans towards successful project delivery.

Design & Development Oversight:

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define project requirements, develop technical specifications including the enabling of integration of advanced technologies into unmanned maritime systems. Ensure that USV systems are built according to project goals and customer needs. 

System Integration Management:

• Ensure seamless integration of various sub-systems (navigation, communication, control, power, sensors, etc.) into the USV platform, coordinating between internal teams and external vendors to meet integration milestones.

Risk & Issue Management:

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project issues e.g., minimise delays, budget overruns, or performance issues.

Testing & Validation:

• Oversee and participate in the testing and validation processes, ensuring that USV systems are rigorously tested in real-world environments to fulfil performance and safety criteria. Work with the testing team to address any issues found during trials and ensure system reliability.  

Budget & Resource Management:

• Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently. Provide regular budget updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Closely support the Programme/ Project Manager to facilitate communication and collaboration across various departments, providing stakeholders with regular project updates, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication regarding timelines, deliverables, and potential changes to project scope.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Develop and review/ maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project, including design specifications, plans, progress reports, testing results, and change requests whilst ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ensure that all project-related documents are organised and accessible.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure that all USV systems and project deliverables adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and industry compliance requirements, including maritime safety and autonomous systems standards. Stay updated with the latest developments in unmanned systems technology and incorporate best practices into projects.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and external contractors, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment with project goals.

Post-Deployment Support:

• Assist in the commissioning and eventual delivery of USVs, providing on-site support as necessary. Ensure that any post-deployment issues are quickly addressed and resolved.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, particularly within the Defence, Aerospace, or Maritime Industries would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to learn and converse in technical matters.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• PMP Certification is an advantage.
• Software skills in Excel VBA/ Python is an advantage.
• Ability to travel overseas is a requirement.
• Organized, meticulous and attentive to details.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Singaporean only.
