Our Unmanned & Integrated Systems business offers holistic solutions in system engineering and integration. We pioneer maritime robotics and autonomy solutions, provide system integration for complex naval and island air defence System-of-Systems (SoS), and take care of the operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence (C4I) systems. The Safety and Quality Representative is responsible for guiding and supporting the Division in ensuring adherence to RSAF safety and quality standards and regulations. This role ensures that all maintenance, operations, and related tasks, are conducted in line with RSAF’s safety protocols and quality management requirements.

Safety Guidance and Support for Contractor Teams:
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the teams to ensure the implementation and compliance with RSAF's safety regulations and operational standards.
- Assist in identifying safety hazards and provide real-time solutions to mitigate risks, ensuring that work is conducted in a safe environment.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the contractor team, ensuring that personnel follow safety protocols and procedures.
Quality Control and Mentorship:
- Ensure that all tasks performed by the team meet RSAF’s quality requirements, with a focus on maintaining high standards in maintenance, repair, and operations.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to the team to help them adhere to quality guidelines in all aspects of their work.
- Work closely with team leaders and department managers to address any quality concerns and assist in developing corrective actions when necessary.
Compliance with RSAF Safety and Quality Standards:
- Ensure that all work performed by the team is in strict compliance with RSAF’s safety and quality protocols.
- Serve as a liaison between the team and RSAF to ensure mutual understanding of safety and quality expectations.
- Review and monitor work procedures to ensure compliance with RSAF and international aviation safety standards.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Assist teams in conducting risk assessments for ongoing tasks and operations.
- Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies to prevent accidents, quality issues, or operational delays.
- Recommend improvements to reduce safety risks and improve overall quality.
Training and Safety Awareness:
- Lead safety and quality training programs for personnel to ensure they understand and follow RSAF’s standards.
- Distribute relevant safety materials and updates to ensure continuous awareness of safety requirements.
- Reinforce the importance of safety and quality in all operations, creating an environment where employees take personal responsibility for both.
Continuous Improvement Support:
- Encourage a continuous improvement mindset within the team to enhance safety and quality.
- Help identify areas for process improvements and work with the team to implement changes that enhance performance.
- Actively contribute to discussions and initiatives aimed at improving both safety and quality processes.
Communication and Coordination with RSAF:
- Act as the primary contact for any safety or quality concerns raised by RSAF personnel.
- Ensure that all safety and quality issues raised by RSAF are addressed promptly and communicated back to the relevant parties.
- Regularly update RSAF leadership or the liaison officer on safety and quality status, including incident reports, corrective actions, and improvements.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive records of safety incidents, corrective actions, training sessions, and quality assurance checks.
- Prepare reports on safety and quality performance for internal management and RSAF review.
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with RSAF standards and regulations.
Qualities We Value
- Knowledge in Engineering / Safety and Quality, or a related field.
- Relevant experience and WSH related training
- Candidate must be comfortable to independently attend to and solve problems
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize
- Self-starter and improvement driven character
