The Software Lead is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, development, and qualification of simulation software modules used for training on our simulation systems. These systems deliver a realistic, high-fidelity, and immersive experience, meeting our customers’ training needs in a safe environment. This innovation has revolutionized training in fields such as Singapore’s defence and public security. By prioritizing fidelity and usability, these products bridge the gap between technology and users, significantly impacting software engineering in Simulation and Training Systems.

- The role requires both technical and interpersonal skills to lead a development team, ensuring tasks are completed with quality and on schedule.
- Responsibilities include technical analysis and design skills to translate requirements into software modules, and designing test plans for these modules, adhering to the assigned SDLC model.
- Analysis, design, and development of software modules will involve:
- Collaborating with the team to analyze requirements and develop an overall software design.
- Leading the team in translating user requirements into software design.
- Overseeing the team’s software sub-module design, implementation, and testing.
- Leading and working with team members on software integration and testing to meet delivery deadlines.
- Expected to work independently on assigned projects and effectively within a team to meet overall project objectives.
- Expected to work with third-party components/tools (and vendors) and integrate them into a scalable working solution.
- Interface with end-customers to understand system requirements.
- Document write-ups, including design, operation, test cases, and software documentation.
- Provide software training to end users.
Qualities We Value
- Software development experience/knowledge in programming languages (C++) and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
- Experience/familiarity with working in a Windows environment with the .Net Framework.
- Familiarity with modern testing tools and best practices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to conduct research and testing.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, teamwork, and adaptability are essential.
