Together, We Can Make A Significant Impact
The Instructor Operating Station (IOS) is the main interface in which Flight Instructors and Operators will use, to perform planning, controlling of the training environment, observation, and instruction delivery to pilot trainees within a simulator system. We are looking for someone to join us as a Software Engineer, to co-build solutions together with our IOS team members. These solutions will contribute to our state-of-the-art Air Simulator project’s delivery to our end users.
Be Part of Our Success
- Design, and development of Graphical User Interfaces for Flight Instructor and Operator use.
- Working closely to solicit inputs from Flight Instructors and Operators, to provide solutions suitable for their training delivery and execution needs.
- Working closely with other simulator subsystem teams, to ensure proper integration with the various simulator subsystem components (e.g. communication systems, networking, bots, etc).
- Adopting the various software development tools, approaches, and software frameworks that the company project team uses (e.g. gRPC, databases, microservices, PRISM framework etc)
- Adopting UI/UX best practises
- Generating engineering documentation within the team, to document the various requirements, design, and test areas to be developed
- Overseas travel for training, meetings or deployment can be expected
Qualities We Value
- This role is open to entry level candidates
- A willingness to learn a wide array of technology and technology areas, which can range from frontend to backend software development.
- A willingness to learn and develop software in primarily C# and sometimes C++, and learning good programming practices and techniques over time, to ensure efficient performance in a 60-fps simulation/game environment.
- While company-sponsored training courses and guidance will be provided, independent learning and being a team player is required, to fit into the team’s culture
- Being comfortable to engage and communicate with end users, customers will be a plus
- Good knowledge or practical experience in C# and/or C++ will be a plus
