Title:  AVP/Head (Europe), STEV

Responsibilities:

• Connect with ST Engineering’s lines of business and internal stakeholders to understand their requirements for new technologies and finetune areas for technology scouting and deal (collaboration opportunities or investment) origination;
• Maintain and expand STEV’s network of venture capital and startup ecosystem partners in Europe;
• Work with Investment Team in research and mapping of new technologies, and to identify relevant promising startups;
• Work with Investment Team in deal structuring and due diligence for investment (including market research, financial modeling and strategy) and to develop the strategic investment case with lines of business in close collaboration with lines of business, to support investment decisions;
• Work with Investment Team in monitoring, driving and reporting of collaboration with lines of business
• Work with Investment Team in monitoring, management and reporting of portfolio companies;
• Assist in Trip Support and function as local Subject Matter Expert for visits by ST Engineering’s Senior Management;
• Up to 50% travel to Europe expected.

Requirements:

• Keen interest in deep technology areas including AI/ DA, Cybersecurity, Autonomous Technologies, Communications, Materials, Robotics, Sustainability and other emerging technologies;
• Good Degree in Business, Engineering or Finance;
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience with demonstrated track record in work performance and ability to learn fast on the job;
• Prior experience working in other countries and/ or across cultures;
• Strong research, analytical, numerical and effective communication skills;
