Responsibilities:    

 

  • Member of Group Sustainability Team:
    • Global coverage of sustainability/ESG issues across the Group’s Business Areas/Business Units
    • Keep abreast of global, regional and national ESG issues/trends
    • Shape and implement the Group’s sustainability strategy and workplans
    • Develop sustainability policies, programmes and targets aligned with the Group’s sustainability plans and material factors
    • Manage external vendors and consultants, to ensure timely delivery of outcomes
    • Support the Group’s Sustainability Working Committee and other sustainability-related operational committees

 

  • Lead/Coordinate Sustainability Reporting:
    • Partner with material factor owners on the timely and appropriate disclosure of Economic, Environmental, Social and Governance
    • Lead efforts and contribute to the Annual Report/Sustainability Report disclosures aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD, SGX, UNGC, etc.
    • Track and analyse sustainability performance against targets and provide recommendations
    • Lead/Support the launch and operations of the Group’s Sustainability Reporting Platform
    • Engage with ESG analysts and rating agencies, providing relevant disclosures

 

  • Lead, Develop and Drive Social Initiatives including (but not restricted to):
    • Diversity, equity & inclusion
    • Business and human rights
    • Workplace health and safety
    • Corporate social responsibility (CSR)  
    • Partner with Business Areas/Lines of Businesses/Business Units/Business Functions across geographies to educate, share best practices, drive collaboration on joint initiatives, support customer engagement and other relevant stakeholders on sustainability issues and coordinate internal audits and third-party certification efforts etc.

 

  • Support Other Sustainability Initiatives including (but not restricted to):
    • Develop sustainability training material and initiatives to raise awareness on ESG issues
    • Implementing strategies to accelerate the Group’s decarbonisation journey e.g. data collection and reporting of GHG emissions, emissions reduction and pathway to net zero
    • Implement eco-Initiatives to encourage an eco-conscious culture

 

 

 

Requirements (Experience and Qualifications):

 

  • Sustainability roles or in multiple operational leadership roles;
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field or equivalent experience;
  • Capable of working independently within relevant areas of expertise;
  • A team player with a strong collaboration mindset – including the interest and ability to work well across national and cultural boundaries, and build effective working relationships within a complex, global corporation;
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills;
  • Versatile and adaptable – able to toggle between and bridge management-level directions and operational needs and realities;
  • Willing to travel occasionally
  • Consulting and/or overseas experience is an advantage, but not a necessity
