Title: Assistant Principal Engineer

Job Description
1) Stakeholder Engagement – to liaise and work directly with specific individuals appointed by the Authority for purpose of Project Service Delivery including Customer, Contractors and users
2) Project Service Delivery – to manage and ensure timely delivery of project management services effectively, including scope management, contractor/contracting management, project/programme management, facilities/system transition to O &S, Security clearance
3) Governance and Compliance Management – to ensure adequate governance are in place to maintain oversight of compliance status and to ensure Authority’s standards, policies, directives and guidelines are applied
4) Maintenance and Engineering Support – To review and improve maintenance plan, maintenance tasks and training, maintenance process and work flow, and to provide engineering support.
5) System Performance and RAMS Management – To track system performance and failure trends, perform Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Supportability (RAMS) analysis; identify causes of failures and areas for improvement, including recommendations for system modification, obsolescence management or mid-life upgrade.
6) Supply Support Management – To review and improve system supply and spares requirements and material support, identify alternate sources of supply or support.
7) Other ad-hoc task contributing to the success of the programme being managed including IT security, QMS, service improvement.
8) Location of Work – The location of work for the Contractor shall be at the designated site of project.
Requirements
• Highly motivated and self-driven to complete assignment with the limited resources and tight schedule
• Good technical skills in engineering, computer and IT systems, and preferably in communications technologies as well
• Good knowledge of Systems Engineering
• Good communication and writing skills
• At least 5 years’ experience in project management. Able to handle complex programs/ projects, technical challenges and different groups of users and external contractors
