Description:
Seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead and oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of IT Systems. This incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and alignment with customer’s requirements. This role involves planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of project progress, while managing resources, risks, and stakeholder communication effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Governance & Administration
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer.
- Establish Project Office administration and filing systems.
- Set up and maintain Project Management Repository.
- Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Allocate and manage resources (including team members) efficiently.
- Manage project cost, budget, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Maintain Issue and Risk Management logs.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Provide monthly consolidated progress reports to customer.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by customer.
- Coordinate and conduct monthly Progress Report Meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation circulation, and minutes submission.
- Proactively inform customer of delays or risks impacting delivery and propose alternatives.
- Monitoring & Performance
- Track milestones, achievements, and delays.
- Monitor manpower effort, budget status, and service performance.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs and project requirements.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Scrum Master to track product backlog, integration/testing, deployment, and change management.
- Collaborate with Technical Manager and Solution Architect on system setup and infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance
- Ensure system security management and adherence to standards.
Qualification:
- Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
- Agile/Scrum certification (preferred).
- Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in large-scale IT or aviation-related projects.
- Proven track record in managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Experience in risk management, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Skills
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
