Main Responsibilities

  • Promote positive employee and industrial relations with the House Union to maintain strong employee relations and that the industrial relations activities are consistent with the company’s core business values and objectives
  • Set direction, create policy, and offer expert advice in all matters relating to collective bargaining and corporate-wide industrial relations issues.
  • Work in collaboration with the union and key internal stakeholders on performance management processes, wage negotiation, employment legislation and award provisions.
  • Work closely with the house union and key internal stakeholders on alignment and standardisation of policies and process where applicable and appropriate.
  • Act as the focal point for union activities and provide feedback and dissemination and work with relevant Business Areas business partners and HR centres of Excellence where required.
  • Participate in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement on issues relating to industrial relations matter.
  • Lead and/or participate in projects as assigned.

 

Key Requirements

  • A degree in any discipline
  • Minimum on 10 years working experience with at least 5 yrs in a HR or IR environment.
  • Prior experience in employee relations or industrial relations preferred
  • Strong experience in dealing with unions
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills
  • Working location at Ang Mo Kio (hybrid work arrangement applies)
