Title:  Engineer, data acquisition/engineering

Job Description

The key responsibilities include data acquisition, data engineering, and building business intelligence solutions. This position works extensively with the Decision Science & Solutions (DSS) team in our commercial aerospace business. The candidate is expected to collaborate closely with other team members within DSS, which is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of data scientists, analysts and software engineers.

Requirements

• Flexibility and adaptability to employ appropriate tools to solve the business problem at hand
• Proficiency in common BI tools like Tableau
• Proficiency in building robust data pipelines using programming languages like Python and/or SQL
• Proficiency in data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow 
• Familiarity with RDBMS solutions like MSSQL and Postgres
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux OS for executing common tasks
• Basic knowledge on computer networks
• Willingness to learn how to deploy production grade solutions
• Experience with AWS tech stack will be advantageous
