As an Senior Analyst, you are responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data from online sources to provide insights into the digital trends, behaviours, and policies of Areas of Interest (AOI). Using specialized tools and techniques, you will monitor and evaluate web traffic, social media activity, and online interactions. You are also required to track competitor activities, measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns, and identify emerging market trends or risks. Additionally, you will collaborate with industry partners to maximize the yields collected from the web using the latest web collection methodologies and techniques.

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, clean, and organize data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability for actionable insights.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create comprehensive reports and visual dashboards that effectively communicate findings, trends, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Trend Identification & Forecasting: Analyse data to detect emerging trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing predictive insights to inform business strategies and operational decisions.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate business performance, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Process Optimization: Suggest improvements to data collection processes, methodologies, and tools, driving operational efficiency and ensuring the robustness of data insight.
  • Problem-Solving: Address data-related issues and provide solutions for data discrepancies or challenges.
  • Tool & System Management: Utilise software tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.) to analyse data and develop reports.

 

Qualities We Value

  • Knowledge in Intelligence and International Security or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of work experience in an analysis centre or OSINT collection centre
  • Data Collection Tools: Experience with web scraping tools (e.g., Cobwebs) to gather data from websites, social media, and other online platforms.
  • Search Engines: Advanced use of search engines and search operators (Google Dorking) to locate hard-to-find or hidden information.
  • Cybersecurity Understanding: Knowledge of online security threats, methods of online tracking, digital forensics, and web vulnerabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Precision in identifying trends, anomalies, and patterns in large data sets.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly, both in written and verbal formats, to stakeholders, including reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Ability to critically evaluate data and discern useful insights from noisy or ambiguous information.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with cybersecurity experts, business analysts, and IT professionals.
